20D AF Assist

Hi

Can i check with u guys whether there is a button/function to turn off the flash (like in compacts where u have a flash logo but with a line across it to symbolise No Flash).

The reason is that I pop up the flash to use the AF Assist in low light, but I do not want to fire the flash. Cant figure how to do it.
