Default Canon G6

Hi all,

I am thinking of buying a G6.

Does the camera support the slave
ST-E2 with 550 EX

Any apparent purple fringing problem as compared to
the G5 ?

All positive and negative comments for the
camera are welcome and greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ray

Hi, I cannot answer your question. I have not seen or heard anyone using this combo. But the G5 does support E-TTL on my 420EX, so I believe the G6 also do. You can call them directly to ask, sometimes better than to wait for the answer here as not many can get a G6 + ST-E2 + 550EX (I think 550EX is oversized on a G6, ST-E2 looks funny).

still having same purple fringing problem as the G5 as it uses exactly the same lens. guess that depends on how 'extreme' your photography is in terms of contrast of the sunlight & object.
