Post Processing Matters

I believe this thread had been discussed many times already, but just to check with fellow CSes. Can I just take my photos in jpeg finest qualities and then without any post processing, just crop and re-size. Thereafter, send it for developing. Just gotta a EOS 20D.

Why not? But you might want to apply some sharpening to some pictures so that the details can pop out from the pictures. Amount of sharpening depends on preference, so do what you like to see.

If you use a digicam, then its most probably alright to not post-process as the in-camera processing has taken the basic PSing jobs out for you. But since you are using a 20D, the level of in-camera processing is much much lesser than a digicam even if you set your 20D to capture in JPEG. Its therefore advisable to post-process your pictures otherwise they might turn out not like what you expect. If you are too lazy to post-process, then hop back to film... hehe...
