With that all my lenses are original and brand new. As for firmware I update liao.

Lenses that I tested.
14~45mm Lens that come with kit (Cannot)
40~150mm Lens (Cannot)
50mm Marco Lens (Cannot)
50mm Macro Lens wif EX-25 extension tube (also Cannot).

Tested on other E-300. (Can) What is the conclusion???

I think I must ask tomcat cos he got the same items as me.
So tomcat did U encounter such problem before?

my 50mm macro works fine. I did not update firmware.

Sorry if this may sound silly but.. did you check your AF/MF settings?

Quite sure that there is something wrong with your camera body. Sent it in yet?
Oh yah, did this occur before or after updating the firmware?

Hello Merciless Knight,

The loss of AF & F-Stop info seems lens-specific. Something is blocking the AF & F-stop signals from coming through

I'm hazarding a guess, are the contacts clean ? I know it's a new camera & that's unlikely.

For further diagnostics, have you tried manual focus MF mode & check to see if the AF brackets light up as well. Since MF is electrically actuated, if it doesn't respond to turning the focusing ring, either power to the lens is lost or a chip problem with the lens.

Sorry to hear of your problem, either way, it doesn't sound like its self repairable, so if it goes for servicing, hope it's repaired quickly. You should have a working camera for your workshop to come.

Best of luck !

Think of that b4. As for the real problem is still unknown. MOST Probability is the contact problem internally. I Just Confirm liao. There is No F-Stop AT ALL Even on Manual Mode. It display F-,-.

I just CANNOT adjust the F-Stop at ALL.

Hello Merciless Knight,

My mistake, if it's the same behavior for all your lenses, then there's something wrong with the E300.

I only just noticed your sig. ;-)

Cheers,
