as a question to d3200 users, have any of you compared the AF system to the D5100 and do they differ in speed and tracking? i ask as i ll be using either one of them with a 17 55 2.8 as 2nd body for an event and AF speed and accuracy is the last concern on my list.

hmm although i dont own a d5100 but i did try it out before. I feel that both a roughly the same? But really depends on which AF mode you are going for. Face tracking? Personally i find that both the d5100 and d3200 have relatively the same AF system.

Just like you shot as landscape and crop some portion as 100% for viewing and found the DX sensor on 12mp has not detail at all.

U haf a side by side comparison of the same subject matter under same shootin conditions, same dx lens n lighting, but with 1 dx cam n 1 d800?

Maybe it wil then be able to fully illustrate ur pt n whether it really has more detail la.

yeap it really is..but it lacks features though...such as interval mode and it has very little scene modes as well.

You can see some of the shots i took with it at http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/land-...e-germany.html
