Was editing some RAW photos yesterday, when I realised that RAW images that are opened with DPP first then converted to JPEG are a lot sharper than images that are opened directly with Adobe Photoshop CS. Colour tone and saturation was also very much nicer..
Images were taken with 300D + 24-70 f2.8L, hence I found it weird that the images were very soft when opened with photoshop CS. Thus I tried out using DPP to convert to JPEG and editing with photoshop, and the results were so much better... Is this normal? Anyone else has same experience? ![]()

whatever dpp does, photoshop can do, just have to incorporate whatever saturation settings, sharpening settings that are required.
