    Default Needs help

    Hi guys,

I am new to camera and I actually got Sony A33 with macro len. I have a problem right now that is for eg, I have 4 sushis on the plate, the focus and clearness is only on just one item. How to actually get all the 4 sushis to be clear?

Close down the aperture as much as you need. If still not enough, you will have to do focus stacking.

    Smaller aperture, shorter focal length.

One of the main reasons people buy a macro lens is for the thin depth of field... maybe try shooting with your kit lens instead.

Also, for the future, please remember:
    1. There is no "len". Lens is already singular. Lenses for plural.

    2. Please use a more descriptive thread topic. "Needs help" will not benefit people or assist in searching for this thread in the future.

Read up on DOF, it will definitely help in your problem.

As for your example, there are a couple of way to solve your problem.

    1) Close your aperture as much as possible (depending on how close you are to your subject) and you will get the result.
    2) Stand far far away from your subject (so your focus will be at infinity), that way, all will be in focus.

All this had to do with DOF btw.
