Not wide enough, not long enough. I think the 18-50 F2.8 is a better choice.

..... but its usable with film cam cos i still holding on to my eos5!
anyway read some problem with the 18-50mm f2.8 with flash AF assist light..... seems to misfocus when using the assist light some QC issues also |

I've got the newer version
which is the 24-70 f2.8 EX DG MAcro not the DF version After reading good remarks abt it at dpreview then I bought it If u wanna try, why not come down during the photoAid charity drive this weekend and I'll let u try ![]() |

The 20-40mm f2.8 is in a different league compared to the 24-70mm f2.8 though both may seem only 4mm apart at the wide end. thnx for the offer though

Aside from that, this lens is sharp and light, and there's no other substitute for it, at least for now. Anyway, I read from dpreview that Sigma is working on a fix for it. |
