I recently purchased a nikon d70, and I am trying to figure out what wideangle lens would be good for landcape/architecture. I also would like to find an affordable lens.

affordable would be tamron or tokina 19-35 for about $200... for better all-round value, it would be sigma 18-125 for about $500+

You bought with the kit lens? I think it should be good enough?

i think the distortion on a budget 19-35 tamron/tokina would be worse than the kit lens =) so far the widest nikkor zoom u can get would be the 12 -24 DX lor.. haha. =) |

I dun believe in the quality of a wide angle zoon lens! Why not get a fixed Nikkor 20mm f2.8?
