Default Photo-sharing Macro shots

Hi all,

Some inconsequential macro shots. Constructive comments most welcomed.

Which works and why?

Cheers

Wow! love the detail on the anemones in the second pic. However, how come the anemonefish has got a bit of greenish cast on the white stripes?

my fav is the second anemone fish pic. The first pic is OOF, or at least i deem the eyes to be OOF.

The third pic is just plain nice. Lacks the oomph of the second pic. Didn't capture my attention immediately.

at 1st look.. the hermit seems to capture so much details.. but then.. after a careful look.. the details are blurred out... with the "hair" creating a zoom-in effect.... as for framing.. the top rite corner is a bit too bare for me..

2nd pic.. nice framing.. but the over exposed orangy face are too distracting for me.. wats yr exif? the bottom part of the anemone oso a bit blurred out..
dun tell me F8 hor.. wait i cry... coz thats means only DSLR able to get all in focus...

cute NUDI!! haha.. interesting rings on their bodies. Framing. Strange natural composition of the couple.. dunno to view in portrait or landscape format.. haha.. will a 45 degree framing strike a balance?? a bit too red for me.. and too evenly lit up.. actually a bit under oso leh?
hmm.. thinking anyone did a top down plane view of the nudi gills and rhiropheres? was thinking, with such patterns of this kind.. the image will hav very nice patterns formed... hohoho...

*another armchair critics made* hee..

the eyes and the feelers of the hermit crab abit off focus, wasted.

the tomato clown one is very nice.. love it.

the nudi abit funny leh, the one at the back seems very flat very distracting

Wa..... blink blink..... thanks for the wonderful comments. !!!!!!!!!!!

Heh.. yeah it is OOF ....

As for the second photo, it is F8...... 5060??? Canon 20D lah.!!!!! TTL leh.

yeah tell me about the composition... i was battered by currents trying toget this shot, shot a flurry of portrait and landscape shots, ended up with this one. The rest are a waste of time...

Darn... good point, need to break out of my get low get close shoot up sequence. will try a top down next time.

Better having an armchair critic rather than having none. Very valid points made. Comments will definitely help me improve.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
