    Default CD-R problem

I just saved some photos to a cd-r and passed it to a friend. But somehow he couldn't read the files on his computer. He brought to the photo lab and they couldn't read it as well. I can read over my DELL computer and another DELL computer I tried.

    I am using Window XP.

    This was I did:
    - Format cd using some Sony program(preloaded in my computer by vendor)
    - Copy files to CDRW drive
    - All transferring all file, right click on drive and make compatible

    Anything wrong with my steps?

Maybe it's the media used. Some drives read certain media better than others.

Are you using some form of packet writing software?

I simply select the files I want, drag it and drop on the drive icon. Did not use any external program. All done in XP <<My Computer>>.

That's probably Packet Writing with Mt. Rainer support.

CD-Rs do not support drag and drop normally. For maximum compatibility, always burn as a compilation and do not use drag & drop packet writing software.

Kindly advise how to do that. Must download any software? Thank you.

Btw, I formatted it using Sonic DLA and not Sony.

Anyone can help? I already select "make compatible". Should be able to make it readable in all drives rite? But still cannot work.

I have this problem when I drag and drop files to the writer. Now all I do is use Nero and write it to the CD-R.....no more drag and drop.
