Wanna upgrade myself to learn more new things... I cant self learnt as I dunno where to start. I had return all my knowledge back to my lecturer when Im studying.

thanks. I thought of that too. But I prefer been push by someone then self learnt. I always lazy to read on net if it goes for about 2mth later which I tend to slack off.

Need to learn everything once again which I think i have the motivation on e stuff.

Thanks thanks thanks

You can always click the Help button on the toolbar on top of PS. Go to tutorials and you cna learn a lot from there too. And of course, you can learn on the net too. I am learning on the net as I knew nothing much about PS, myself. Now I am getting the idea how it can be done by reading up from the net, Help button of PS and asking around.

CS is very intensive in features, but if you were to have some patient, learn from basic, I am sure you will find it very, very, very, very useful.

Irfanview has received a lot of good feedbacks from users. As for Photo Impressions, is it the one which came with your Lumix camera? I find it so-so only . Cos no so much advanced features. And the resizing does not allow to keep the number of pixels per cm/in or whatever. I was using Photosuite 5, Photo Impression(did not use much) and now PS7. When I used PS7 to resize, then I realized that all along I had lessen the pics qualities using Photosutite 5. So now I only use PS7 to resize and finding out more about its features.

Default Re: Where to learn PS?

the key to learning any software is Exploring it..seriously! i started out learning PS CS in my poly course which was totally useless cos it was only a few lessons out of this 1 particular module i had in first year bt i bought the disc anyway, picked up 1,2 gd books out of the library and i shud safely say i can handle PS CS!

So if you want to modify ur photograph (since tis is a photography forum), go to 'Image' then to 'Adjustments' in PS CS then play ard wif the levels, curves, brightness/contrast, color balance etc..

wanna make it sepia/black or white, click on 'image' then 'adjustments' then 'desaturate'. it will becum grayscale'..

for it to be sepia, add 1 more step 'photo filter' ..Also, go to Filter' gallery if wanna add more effects..If you want to rotate an image, press CTRL T for 'Transform'

It's nt hard, its jus how much you wanna explore the software~ gd luck!

I think maybe you can refer to the books being published by Scott Kelby. He seems to be well-known for his skill in PS.

He got a personal webby and perhaps can refer to this web for his bks

http://www.scottkelby.com/books.html

Hope it does help you
