Default Oh, shucks... now i'm stuck. Help needed!

Hi guys!

I would really appreciate any help at this point. I have a FZ20 and just purchased a suntax 328DTZ. It seems to come wihtout a manual for the flash so I am really confused as to how to use it. Yup, you guessed it, I am one heck of a sotong newbie!

Hope you can help with these questions:

1. What is the sync cable for and how do i jack it into the FZ20?
2. How do I force the flash to turn off should i want to?
3. Any idea where i can learn about external flashes and what all those meters (digits) mean?

regards,
sunslinger

The ext flash can be off use clicking the button to the right. It will show on ur Display whether the flash is on or not.

Check ur FZ20 manual if you still unsure.

Sync Cable are to sync with Slave Flash. Meaning when you attach ur Ext flash on ur FZ20, U can sync another flash at the same time. MEanwhile, you do not need to sync it since u had one flash.

Last qtn, I . Other ppl will reply. Hehe

Enjoy ur shooting

Your FZ20 can set. It is at the arrow buttons, I think to the left, and you can see the flash light sign on or show as "auto", or with a slash.

If you want to force it off, make sure you switch to the flash sign with slash.

Yeah Josho Timer to the left, flash to the right, up for exposure auto bracketing, and down for review.

I think, we have to turn off flash from the camera by pressing the 'right' button as other people mentioned.
I am using an Emoblitz DS328AZ, and the camera won't know that the flash is off and always come out underexposed if I turn off the switch from the flash.

Default So Sorry!!

Hi hong Jia!

Thanks for your answer on the other thread and very sorry about the other thread... I was posting this one and somehow my IE page 'hang' so i just pressed the 'post' button again. Really didn't know that it came out twice. But really thank you for the nuggets of info!

Hey rogersk8ter,

I tried looking at the suntax website but couldn't find anything, only their specs. Do you mind pointing me in the right direction? Sorry for the trouble!! Hong Jia's answer was helpful but I'm just afraid I might forget so wanted to download any manual if there are any for future keepsakes!
