Default Paranoma Picture Stitching Using Wide Lens?

Can we use wide angle len to take landscape then stitch it using stitching programme? i seem quite difficult or near impossible cos the wide end usually is slightly distorted. should we jus use normal len say 50mm so there is less distortion? any suggestion?

Yes it is possible. In fact, there are many 360 degree panoramas on the net. Some of them were taken with fish eye lenses. You just need to find the right stitching program. Helmut Dersch's Panorama Tools can certainly correct wide angle lens distortion.
