Thread: Donating cameras

    Default Donating cameras

I'm about to replace my old trustworthy D70 with a D800. As I know there isn't anyone willing to pay money for this, I would like to know if anyone know of any charitable organizations who would value something like this. I can give the body+2 batteries+charger. Camera still in perfect working condition.

You can donate to one of those photography students in need.. I think previously also got one fellow clubsnapper doing this.

Make sure whoever you donate it to doesn't end up in B&S.

Actually, people still do pay money for D70... you can sell it for around 300. It is a perfect candidate for IR.

there is still value for your D70. coupled with the charger and batteries, i believe someone would buy eventually. maybe at lower price(at your discretion), there are arts students who'd prefer such conditioned cam as per your thread instead of buying new one. i got mine @ 230 with sensor cleaned, battery w/charger thru BnS, meant for backup and to teach my nephews on basic photography.

and yes, D70 is a perfect candidate for IR as per daredevil's post

I remember that the D70 is nice to hold, the grip part, when buying my D80 or D90 last time.

Hey guys thanks for the tip. Nice to see some old birds like Sion and cichlid. Don't come here as much these days. Maybe I should.
