heehee... 2 different purposes mah. sniperD uses the PB out in the field, mini-mac at home/studio.

showtime - dun ask me why... but MOE's secure mail website only accepts IE. no wonder they had a hacker attack last year...

    OMG...

i just went to apple singapore to try configuring my own mini-mac.... they are charging $793.80 for a 1GB DDR333 SDRAM... SLS, i figure, mebbe selling them for ard $300+, depending on brand?

the only things worth adding in looks like a superdrive (ard $180) and the bluetooth+airport extreme cards (ard $200+). the RAM, forget it. go SLS to do cheaper.

but will the SLS pple know how to open up that mac mini, given how new the product is? is it even supposed to be opened up easily? cos on the apple site it states upgrades are factory installed....

maybe, maybe not - if u check out the macworld webcast, u will see it's definitely much smaller than my powerbook 12" even. and it still retains the G4 processor, combo / super drive, firewire, 2 usb 2,0, internal modem, ethernet, speaker out etc etc. all for less than $1000........

Because I don't want to have (nor do I have the space for) another monitor on my computer table - with the Mac mini, I can hook it up to my monitor and switch between PC/Mac easily.

I dun get it. You put it on your table and look longingly at it?

I thought computers belonged UNDER the desk.

    But then I guess I'm a dinosaur.
