    Thanks for the inputs Drudkh and GENO ...

    Very positive indeed .... But the focusing slow? .. still need to buy TC later on ...

    Alex:

    have to wait .. i'm still taking my time to shop around to see any viable alternatives before i take the plunge into 70-200 L ...

    Sigma 70-200 sure much faster than e tokina, cos got HSM! Picture quality very good, comparable to Canon, only lose out a bit at f2.8.

    much more ex too ley....think the tokina one cost around $900..while the sigma is $1300.....

    I highly recommend the sigma 70-200 SPO HSM also....faster than nikkor and definitely same quality...

    Ok lens war comparison again ... chill guys ... i'm considering now ... cos i need to set aside for my other purchases as well ...

    Main thing i'm after is build quality / focusing speed.

    Is anyone else having problems with MSN or is it just me ...

    Since you are only considering quality and speed... not budget...70-200 2.8L IS is the best

    Also, guys, just now paiseh... tot of joining you for dinner... but last min need to rush to hospital...

    Yea i know its still the best and its really a-no-fight ... but 2 things.. cost and issues with the IS which i'm worried about. Need to save quite a while ....

    i second wat CYRN say....

    get the canon 70-200 2.8L........... u will not go wrong...
    get the best or dun get at all..... really..
    otherwise u will eventually spend more ...
