new to me... auto re-map, that is something I never heard of... is this for real? I mean, the firmware is designed to auto re-map on monthly basis? I wonder is Minolta 7D the only DSLR in the market that has this kinda auto scheduling thing, or perhaps it is an old wellknown thing in all DSLR...

Think its nothing new.. Phil Askey did mentioned in one the post that it is one of the reason some camera startup time is slower. KM probably choose to do it once a month only.

How slow is slower? 3 sec delay is too long!
