Default Need Advice on A40 lens adapter

Thinking of getting a A40 lens adapter. Call up CP but they dun have any more stock (stock due to arrived in Aug, dunno the exact date) and I dunno how much it cost. Called AP just now they have a compartible A40 lens adapter for $25.

My problem here is should I get the compartible one or wait till CP got the stock? I'm rather new here... so need some advice here. Anyone out there know how much the Original lens adapter cost?

The oem is silver in color, go well with the cam color

while Original lens adapter is black cost abt $38

oem adapter work fine with A40 cost much less.

hi,

i bought malkw's a40 wif accessories (lens adaptor, macro+10, uv, olympus 1.9x)

nope, viewfinder not obstructed when lens adaptor attached. not sure how much it affects flash. ive taken mostly shots without flash, but of the flash pics ive taken so far, don't observe any extreme amount of 'blackness' that wld imply the flash being blocked.

my opinion is that oem or original, it doesn't really make much of a diff, its about the same, when i need to use the uv, macro or extra zoom the oem works great.

The lens adapter will block the flash. You will see a shadow on the bottom right of the picture if you use the flash with the lens adapter on.

A40 and also G2 (if i not wrong) cannot use built-in flash when added on the adatper. but can use slow shutter speed to achieve the end result.

The OEM one has size which is exactly like original one.
Both block the view finder depends on zoom.
however the LCD can be the view finder when lens adapter is attached.

for the flash. it does has an affect. so guess that if want to take potrait at low light, have to rely on shutter speed or external flash.

just got my A40 lens adapter from AP... true enough there is a black patch at the right hand-side of the photo when I used flash.
Below is a test pic tat I've just taken in Auto mode with flash.

this the minus point of A40.

Anyway I seldom use flash, so I guess still quite okie to me...

A40 dont take lens, only filters. But one very bad point about 37mm thread size is all your filter is going to be expensive, if you can find the size first.

what are the available 37mm thread filter?
it seems to be a good solution to bypass the flash problem.
i'm thinking of adding in a wide angle len
