Happens at all apertures. The crop is 100% crop at edges of the frame. For UWAs, I would not consider the fringing to be prominent. Remember, Nikon cameras will remove CA and fringing automatically in JPEG. This is shot in RAW, so the auto CA/fringing removal did not happen. Neither did I do any CA removal adjustments.

Personally I will call this CA/fringing very minor.

Thanks for the review. Quite disappointed that it didn't do well for the brick wall test at 17mm for distortion and being soft at f4 across all focal length.

Well, you win some, you lose some.

BTW the distortion is easily correctable. and it is less than the 16-35. If you look at the real world shot, you can hardly detect it.

And this lens is quite cheap, you can get for slightly less than 1k in local stores. If you shoot at smaller apertures (landscape and architecture), this is a good lens to get.

I tried fitting a Lee 82mm WA lens adaptor over it but somehow it doesn't fit. Any other viable alternatives?

I never tried any filter attachments on this lens. When you say it doesn't fit, what do you mean, are you not able to screw the adapter into the filter thread?

Yes i'm not able to screw it into the filter thread. I force it on nowadays. But the adaptor is sort of unbalanced causing very slight vignetting at 17mmm

Hmm... I find the Lee Adapters hard to screw into plastic screw mounts. Really have to have the patience actually.
