Im a total newbie because this camera mentioned in title was given by uncle to me. It comes with a 28-80mm 1:3.5-5.6 Sigma macro lens. the only flash is the built in. is the lens upgradeable ? i've heard or so far read here and there about A-mount or V mount (??) lens. how do i know what mount it is?
and roughly if I were to buy lens for macro shots etc how much would it cost for 2nd hand? Im only a student waiting for my O's and photography has been a passion since i was in primary school...lolz..

Hi NeTHaCk,
I don't own this camera before. Based on the spec, your camera will accept A mount lens which is the common mount in Minolta AF SLR range. Spec here. http://www.sds.com/mug/3xi_spe.html Manual here. http://kmpi.konicaminolta.us/eprise/...ts/max_3xi.pdf To do macro, there are a few methods. Common methods are either buy a dedicated macro lens or use a extension tube to insert in between your current lens and the body. Currently, someone are selling both equipments in the buy/sell forum. Cheers! |
