There are alot of places to go in san francisco. First check out The Fisherman's Wharf is where alot of tourists go. Do try the bubba gump shrimp Co. It's a restaurant that is based on the movie "Forrest Gump", fantastic atmosphere and shrimps! Go there at the right time because it's gonna get crowded.

Get on the City tours ride (tram) where they take you to the golden gate bridge, Union square, fisherman's wharf and alot of other places. It's pretty slow so it's good to take some photos. There will be a short break when the tram stops after the golden gate bridge where you can take pictures of landscapes of San Francisco.

You wouldn't want to leave SF without going to alcatraz, Amazing place to explore on your own (Don't get lost!). Go to the beach, amazing sea waters especially during summer. Head to chinatown to take street shots, VERY different from singapore. Try to find some back alleys, if you come across this alley where there is a shop that sells fortune cookies, do not hesitate, Buy them! One of the best i've ever eaten.

There are so many things to mention, A google search will bring you numerous websites that gives you the best reviews.

Best of luck on your trip!

    Cheers

Dont miss the scenic coastal 17-Mile Drive to Monterey, Carmel. This was the backdrop for many Hollywood movies like Basic Instinct etc. The gorgeous seascapes along the spectacular pacific coastline provide many photo opportunities. Salivate at the houses of the rich along the way. Can drop by the famous Pebble Beach Golf Course too. Just Google for more details. Enjoy your trip & share the photos!

The bar at the top of hilton hotel gives fantastic view of the city and union square.

Twin peaks is another place that give a good view of the city when it is not fogged up. You can trek up there from Castro BART station.

Across the golden gate bridge there is a golden gate bridge recreation area which gives good view of the city as well. If i'm not wrong you can rent a bike to cycle across the bridge.

Boat ride to and under the golden gate bridge is probably a must.

I didn't like the 17-mile drive at carmel. It was nice, but I didn't like that idea that one had to pay to drive there. The highway one portion just south of carmel, the big sur, is way nicer!

    cheers

If you want to try whale watching head to Monterey Bay. Chance to see Killer whales, humpback this time of the year and lots of dolphin. But if you get sea sick then check seas conditions first before you go. Be prepared to get salt spray on your gear.
