I'm a newcomer. Today I bought my first Olyumpus DSLR - E300. Test it and it was all working fine I think. Only "problem" I encounter later is that the lense doesn't respond to AF mode. This MUST be the lense right?
Even on manual, the focusing doesn't seem to work "right" , unless it's in a long range. Tried on manual, portrait mode, still no reaction. I know I probably would have to change the lense, but just wondering if anyone else had the same probably the first time, in case there's any more information to it.Sury |

Hi Chii,
You're probably right. I went to return the lens and had to check everything checked for myself. amazingly the lense worked fine, must've been the setting I suppose. Thank you again. |

From what you described, I think you you are focusing too near your subject as all lenses have a minimum focusing distance.

If you have the manual, do go through carefully about all the different settings. Make sure your AF illuminator is on too.
