Hiee....

Frankly speaking.....that was my first time seeing that red insect.
It just caught our attention when we were heading off from botanic gardens....

Many passer by were wondering what we were doing....

Well.we shred the photos with kids who were passing by and they were happy getting to see what these "uncles" were doing and their catch....

First shot is nice, but seems like the focus is a bit out.

Nice shots there, esp. the 1st one, good contrast in colours between the red bug and the green leaf behind it. The ant shot has interesting composition too.

Default Depth of field tricky on my setup...

Hiee....

Well, the depth of filed was kinda tricky for this little one as its rather flat and also its standing on a "new-leave" of the "CB"** leave...
The new leave wasa curving in the opposite position of the little red bug which was about 1cm in real size...

I agree that the top right is kinda OOF.

......but i'm already shooting at f18 (physical aperture setting of my setup of which is already @ f36 physically in terms of light and tripod was not accesible for the shot.....)

Well.....haha...Its really my first time seeing this insect.....too excited...!!!!

***"CB Leave" - for those who may not know what is it...and why its called CB leave....please do PM me.....

FYI: This leave is used to wrap the "tempeh" - See info of tempeh here...
