Default Bringing Camera Gear into West Malaysia

    Hi,

Will there be any 'problems' if I were to bring my camera gear consisting of lenses, camera and tripod etc via Malaysian custom? I am traveling by bus and using the Second Link.
This is the first time I am bringing equipment into Malaysia.
    Thanks

I don't think there will be problems unless there's a few quantity of the same item or the equipment looks brand new in boxes/packaging. Otherwise for personal use, it's common for people to bring in and out

No problem at all, enjoy your shoot. Cheers

As long as it doesn't look brand new or in box/packaging should be no problem.
But customs can be crazy - one time I was moving an old portable electric water boiler back to MY and they wanted to tax me. I challenged them (nicely) and they let me off.

Anyway don't flaunt your equipment unnecessarily - you might get robbed.
