    Yeah, most secondary schools have a photography club. Starting might be pretty boring, but it might quickly get interesting as they might dabble in film photography and studio photography and such.

    Wait for D3200, better specification and performance. D3100/3200 will be good for her as it fits to my 9 year old nephew hand well.
