Hi Guys/Gals,
Would like to hear your comments about the performance of above lens. Maybe even compare it with equivalent lens from 3rd party brands. Thx |

i tried one from Flare, now there is one that i am actually bidding for... (u better dun come chap ji kah...)
the lens is pretty slow in focus, can't focus in indoor unless there is sufficient lighting. if u have been to the end of year minolta meeting, we can't even focus the shop's signboard... but i believe, u pay peanuts, u get monkeys, so this lens will be good with outdoor sunny day thingy... never, ever, try this lens on a wedding dinner...

Guys,
I'm thinking of letting go my 70-300mm f4.5-f5.6 D Minolta. It came with my Dynax5 as a kit lens. PM me if interested... probably will post up in the buy n sell soon as that is the correct channel. ![]() |

yeap... cos that day was a indoor with fluorescence lighting, i think it did not do justice to this lens, besides, its a cheap lens with long range. just keep 1 in the drybox in case also a good thing...

Pictures tells a thousand words. I went for a trial right after i bought the 75-300, a few images from that night.
Well, it's a cheap consumer lens, didn't expect too much out of it. Other than the AF being a tag slow (tho i have nothing in the same range to compare to), I think it's a pretty decent lens... and it's really small and light (i.e. plastic-ky). Nice for the occasional situations when you need the extra reach. Too bad it's silver not black... ![]() |
