The subjects are too centered for me.
Also too contrasty.

You mean the two guys should be in left or right side?

Hmmm... I would put more space on the left side of the frame since they are looking that way. If it were physically possible I would have side stepped to the left so that I won't lose the road as I place them on the right side of the frame. It depends too what's on the left side. It could be a heap of trash.

If the opportunity permitted I would take more than 1 shot at different angles just to see which works best.

Maybe something like this:

Lost some quality I guess when I copied from this post. I'm sure the original dont have this problem.

The original pics appeals to me alot..
I like this shot and its colour cast.

The original pic is good enough because it shows the starting of the path the boys took and all the way till the end and thats nice!

However, the contrasts of the boys seems to be really high so much so that they really 'stand out' from the background hence making it a little unnatural.

It would be even better if the bus is not in the background to provide a celan background..

Nice shot!

Thanks for sharing.

1st point: the cropping helps a lot. because the space on the right is boring. on the other hand, the spacing on the left has a line of projection since the boys are looking and pointing that way. the cropped picture also shows the start of the path they took.

2nd point: agree that the bus shouldn't be in the background, but then if it's a school bus, hmm,
