Hi ppl.. I still not sure whether to buy original or 3rd party wide converter for my A95...any recommendations?
Do any of you have any recommendation of any shops that sell relatively low priced Conversion Lens Adapter and Wide Converter for Canon A95? The SRP for original canon is $39 and $169 respectively leh...tink abit too high for me... And by the way, I heard b4 tat some 3rd party wide converter may partially block the flash and will cause some dark spots on the edges? Any good 3rd party brands to recommend? hopefully is much cheaper than original... Thanks for any recommendations rendered~!! |

Quite new to this forum so dunoe how to edit the thread I started..
Btw just wan to hear ur opinions 1st b4 I actually decide to go buy the wide converter...I actually still torn between spending $ on the wide converter or saving up the $ and upgrade to another cam next time, in maybe 2 or 3 yrs time?....For me I prefer having a more compact cam to carry ard so I doubt tat I would be using an SLR next time but maybe a prosumer like the Pro 1 instead... To buy or to save??..Any opinions on these? Thanks again in advance? |

I also thinking of getting a wide converter and tele converter for my A85. But no more money. I was thinking to post this topic few months later. Since you already post this. Thanks.

i can't advise on where to buy as i don't use this myself.
probably not very common though.. try to do a search for overseas online sites? i used a kenko wide angle for my nikon 5700 previously. but regarding the question on flash, if you use the onboard flash, then all wide angle convertors be it original or not will partially obscure the path of the light to a certain extent. and you can't edit posts in consumer as well as buy and sell. |

my 5700 was different, the onboard flash is set high up, and pops up. so it can throw the light further. looking at where your onboard flash is placed, it's so close to the lens... ![]() |
