Default Will Oly E-10 benefit from faster CF card? & lens question.

Just acquired a mint and cheap E-10, my very first SLR.

Coming from a C3040Z, I love everything about it, superb fast lens, low light performance, image quality (looks so film like! nice and natural!), hardly any shutter lag and very solid body, EXCEPT the write speed to CF card (the huge and fast buffer does minimise the problem by a lot as I can snap 5 or more pics continuously without stopping. IMO, prosumer digicams in the same price range (in 2nd hand market, that is) does not even come close.

E-10 & E-20 users out there, do you guys know if the camera will benefit from a faster CF card such as a Sandisk Ultra or the 40X cards? Using a normal Lexar CF card right now.

Also, any recommendations for a PL filter, macro filter and affordable wide convertor?

Any inputs appreciated. TIA.

Very sad to comment that Lexar 80X 1GB CF, does not really improve the writing speed, recently overseas Cambodia trip.

In my honest opinion, do not wide convertor, other than the original Olympus accessories.

Faster Card does not mean faster transfer rate all depend on the bus system that use in the Camera itself.

I Only know that the tranfer rate of E1 DSLR is much faster than E300 DSLR, furthermore the buffer in E1 is much larger than E300, which play a part too.
E1 support firewire and USB 2.0 and E300 uses only USB 1.2 only

You need to get wcon-08B for your e-10. I think the wcon-08 is for cx0x0 series like your c3040.

Even though I'm selling I want you to find out more first before purchasing

My uncle from Taiwan is using E-10, and he is looking for a wide-angle convertor, but the usual shops dun seem to be carrying the WCON anymore. He's leaving tomorrow, so I'm still looking around

not sure where to find for now but think it is quite expensive, around $300+? your uncle ought to have higher chance to find one if he shops in Taipei.
