Default Just 3 questions - thanks in advance

I have a FZ20 with the phyee adapter 62mm:

1. What close up lens would you recommend? I find the minimum focussing distance at the tele end too far for close up shots of insect, etc.

2. what tele-converter would you recommend that is available in singapore if possible? want to do some bird shots.

3.how can I reformat the SD card? There appears to be no function for this in the camera

Thanks and info would be greatly appreciated.

You can find a lot of discussion going round on your first 2 questions in this forum. Just spend some time to search, ok?

As for the third question, you need to set to the preview mode, press the menu button, scroll all the way down, and you should be able to see the format option. By choosing it, you will be able to format your SD card already.

You can also find more information at CK's Digital Camera page.

Though it is for FZ10, it is applicable to FZ20 as well...

Thanks people for the quick reply.

I am thinking of getting tcon17. Anyone has feedback on this with the FZ20?

ok basically this is what i think. for an FZ 20, you really should know ultimately what you want to photograph most of the tiime. the camera itself has a very good zoom range already and so to buy that Tcon you need to have a juustifiable reason. the wide end for the camera is not that goos thus mostly people would get the Wcon07. so with all these i still feel you should look the topics discussed in this section and decide carefully as the money you put into can very wellbe saved up and get something you really need. Hope this helps.

Thanks for replying. Basically I just want to do some amatuer bird photography. I have tried with the FZ20 lens and while it is long I find myself longing for a longer lens in many cases. Obviously the original panasonic tele lens would be ideal but is obviously too expensive for me. From reading forums, the tcon17 appears to be ok, and I just want some hand-on feedback from users with this lens.
