Default Can a teleconverter used on a digital cam blur the background?

    Hi again,

was just wondering if a teleconverter can help make the DOF shallower for a point-n-shoot digital cam (in my case, canon A75).

Is a TC good for portrait photos, so that it just brings out the person and blur the background? If so, what is the recommended TC that i can buy?

    THanks alot!

haven heard of 1 which can do that... a teleconvertor only enhance the range of the zoom, for eg a 2x teleconvertor will zoom 2x the range previously noticed...

but alot of teleconvertors (cheapo ones) can do bluring...not only to the background... but to the entire image as well...
