Default Dye Sub Photo Printer

I am using a Canon Selphy CP-400 Dye Sub Photo Printer for printing of some photos. Just wondering if anyone knows, let's say I use up half of the paper & catridge, then put them aside. Will the catridge dry up after some time? What is the best way to store the remaining ones?

I'm wondering...

Dye Sub vs regular 4 or 5-color inkjet printers.

How do they stand? I find myself printing more and more photos of late...

Then you should consider sending them to the colour lab instead.

Yupz...tink sending to shop is still cheaper then printing it yourself..but one good thing abt printing it yourself is tat it is more convenient...

Dye sub seem to give more natural skin tone...but think ink jet printers gif brighter colors leh....just my own opinon...

Agree. I usually send my holiday pics to color labs due to the quantity. I only print those I really like (normal pics I take) at home. Well, someone gave me the printer, so I can't really complain when buying the paper/catridge, can i?

was at CP yesterday when the CP guy was introducing the selphy printer. one selling pt for the printer is that it is dye sub so even if you did not print for 2 years, the ink will not dry up. i understand that the dye cartridge has a limit to the number of prints(e.g. 36 for the one i saw yesterday). so after 36 prints, gotta buy a new cartridge.

another gd point is that it has a protection film on top against fingerprints and water contact. pretty cool printer i would say.

oh wow. thanks for the info. 2 years? err ... that's after removing the catridge from the wrapping bag or before?
