Default candid shots from bugis...

Hi Fellow clubsnappers,
Happy new year to all, just want to share some photos and get some feedback from fellow clubsnappers....please comment be it good or bad...thanks.

there was this guy whom i saw that got wet trying to shoot himself in the fountain at bugis..tried to help him but he ran away after he spoilt his camera....









cute boy that i saw....

wah, people here very quiet... 96 views and no one say anything....my pics must be darn lousy... but anyway its my first post here in street and candids..the pics are nice here..as i am a newbie i hope to learn from everyone here...cheers....

hmm....mebbe it's becos we are so used to seeing people/kids drenched by the water spurts, the people/kids in your shots look very dry leh . why not experiment more by getting more close up shots, freezing the action (esp the water), and getting rid of the distracting background (say by using more shallow DOF)? of your 4 shots, i like the last one best. keep shooting!

The last one is the best among the 4.

The boy's expression is captured very nicely. The colours and contrast could be improved though. A bit more catchlight in his eyes? You used flash?

Too bad the background is rather distracting..

i was at the fountain some days back , playing with my computer there...i saw 2 photographers. one of them using nikon and with some long lens.... wondering if he is you? :P

Not too sure how the water fountain works in Bugis Junction. However, I'll be glad to share one of my shots. Also a boy playing in a water fountain.

yes, i was using my 70-200 VR...i sat quietly 1 corner to try to capture their natural moments....

i didn't use flash for fear people may know i am shooting their kids.... i pushed my VR lens to the limit by taking all these pics handheld....
