Default Raynox Dcr-5000 0.5x Super Wide Angle Lens

I was thinking of getting the above wide angle len together with
a RT5264P adaptor.

Wonder anyone used it b4?

if u still can find the DCR-6600, get it instead of the DCR-5000, it perform much better wif less distortion.

can also consider the Olympus equivalent - WCON07 or WCON08.

the oly one is more x, n only at 0.8 or 0.7
the raynox one is at 0.5 more wide angle shot allowed.

quite distorted the 5000 series..
6000 is much better. but so X at US$99.95.

Basically wide lens has certain degree of distortion. It is a matter of how much. But I would suggest use it for scenery like landscapes. However, got to be careful of taking buildings cos the distortion at the sides sometimes proves to be quite obvious. Alternatively, you might consider making a panoramic pic with combination of 2 or more pics. JMO.

well that's why it's selling at that price cuz the distortion controlled quite well, so far raynox series wide angle only DCR-6600 is the best i know.
