Interesting that after the rain, there are so many opportunities to take pics...insects are cold, and water drops add a interesting look to the subject. Here is a pic of a flower. Appreciate you let me know what you think....thanks!

Very vibrant colours and angles. Well done!
How close were you from the subjects? Without flash? |

Hi tchuanye
Nice shot. Just a question, is there a special reason why you only use 6T and Sigma close up? Have you try other close up? Also is the built-in flash sufficient or do we really need to use the external flash? Cheers John |

Built in flash is too harsh. So I used the bounced flash for the ext flash.

Have tried with the Olympus Macro Conversion Lens f=40cm. This had allowed me to go nearer to the subject (around 30cm at max zoom 12x). However there is restriction, the range where it can focus properly is now from 30cm to around 35cm (at max 12x zoom). At lower zoom setting, the workable focus range is different but still very restricted. My question for you are, if you don't mind me asking : 1. With your Nikon 6T, do you have to work within a very restrictive range for proper focus ? 2. What is your typical distance from the subject most of the time ? 3. How do you go about getting the right framing and desire subject size with the Nikon 6T + Sigma Close-up ? Thanks and Happy New Year. |
