First of all, is there a lot of SB800 sale in the buy & sell section??? Dun think so.

Anyway, this is a good flash. You won't go wrong getting this or the SB-600 cousin....

they sell it because they under utilise it.SB800 is the best nikon flash with latest tech and features (CLS)`. If not getting it, what else you want to get? SB600 also a good choice if you dont use it often...

SB800 is fantastic for event coverage -- its a highly intelligent system. Some pple probably restrict themselves to outdoor daytime shooting, hence not using the flash to full potential.

After using Canon 550EX and Oly FL40/FL50. The only thing I would comment on Nikon flash system like SB800 is

Don't worry just buy buy buy.

8 SB-800s?

Just give me 2 SB-1000s.

* in case anyone is wondering, SB-1000 is my dream of Nikon coming out with a GN60 flash @ ISO100/m, 35mm

No use, 8 SB-800s will win 2 SB-1000 (6400 vs 2000) hehe

Hmm unless you're shooting birds, the SB-600's GN is pretty sufficient for events & wedding.
