Went for a walk in the garden today to test out my wrist to see if it has recovered. Still a little shaky though. Bumped into this blue bee. Anyone has an ID for it?
Thanks. Side view ![]() Front view ![]() |

Just found that this bee resembles the blue orchid bee.
Just a citation, "The orchid bees comprise the tribe Euglossini in the family Apidae, which includes honey bees and bumble bees. The largest orchid bee genus is Euglossa. Bumble bee-like species belong to the genus Eulaema. Parasitic orchid bees are in the genus Exaraete." Is there really no one could confirm? |

hello jeff, sorry but i'm just wondering how you approach the snapping of bees, as in i'm quite afraid to approach them and they move fast too. Any tips you can give me?
and how close is your lens to the bee? |

It's a pity I still have yet to find a good ID for this bee. |
