Anyone has experience using one of these? I saw some reviews on this printer and wonder how it would compare against the Epson R800.
Here are some of the reviews i found. http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...ssage=11511479 http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic2/155291 Last edited by Helbreath; 1st January 2005 at 04:23 PM. |

Just got one. Unlike my previous Epsons, I don't need to do much to get an acceptable print. I bought it mainly for BW prints and it is truly neutral and look as good as the prints from my Lyson system. In fact, it doesn't have the problem of color cast under different lighting. Its an overkill though, with the networking capability, all the slots for cards, links to cameras etc.
Another plus point is that it is very very quiet, just humming along as it print. The only thing I don't like is the lack of media. No archival matt etc unlike Epson. |

Yes, I have forgotten to mention the HP Photosmart series from 7960 up like the Epson 2100, 4000 and large format 7600 up, are very good in printing B&W like traditional darkroom.
The HP have black ink plus light black ink and if you change the other cart. to black, you have a quadtone B&W printer. Unlike other printers that choose black only or grayscale print...... will have colour cast problem. |
