When did you buy yr D70? I think this is a problem for some of the earlier batches.

No.

Nikon will handle all repairs, there are 3rd party places which will repair for you also, but disassembly of the parts voids your warranty unless performed by authorised Nikon service centres.

Also, do you really trust 3rd party vendors? Even with/without warranty I'd rather go back to Nikon.

Yes, it will be about 3 weeks. Mine is 12 days liao and still counting

PS: make a photocopy of your receipt and warrany card and keep it at home before you go.

Nikon Singapore (depending on who serves you) will 'cheong Kong' your Original receipt and the whole stack of Original warranty card to be returned only when repair is over. (Yes, including your copy of warranty card).

Else every night for 3 weeks cannot sleep

Thanks for the advice

3 weeks?!!...that long?? what do they do with the camera?
for a 3 weeks job, it seems to me like quite a major overhaul.

May I know when u bought the camera?...and after how long did you experience that problem?

Thanks!

Shoot film. Ask the shop to scan it in for you. Think S$3 per roll.
But I don't know the technical detail of the scan. But pix is 1544x1024 pix for kodak.

IMHO, +0.3EV over expose your film for better scanning.

wouldn't +0.3EV reduce the dynamic range?

Seems like quite a few couples getting married tomolo. Not sure if we are doing for the same couple.
