Here is the redone of the diamond ring!

Good attempt.

I personally have not taken any diamond ring shot, but this is what I think you can experiment on.

1. Photograph it from the side to show the shape of the stone. Taken from top as you have done "flatten" the look and does not clearly show the beauty of the stone.

2. If you have a star-filter, try using it to get the "star-glitter" look.

TY for your advice. I was thinking of the star filter too but do not have one. But is it worth getting one? I mean it is hardly use. i will try the side way like you said and post it later here again.

So by puting star filter will give the effect like that?
