Life world- cool link.

This is how the person does the focusing in the pitch black LCD.

Quote:
I needed a long exposure and wanted f8 to get the star effect on the lights. The camera, of course, showed nothing but pitch black with those settings, keeping me from framing AND focusing the shot. So I set it up in shutter priority, half-pressed the shutter to lock the focus and, while still half-pressing, flipped the mode dial to manual, then finished the shot.

Model DMC-FZ20
Flash Used No
Focal Length 6.5 mm
Exposure Time 8.00 sec
Aperture f/8
ISO Equivalent 80
White Balance incandescent (3)
Metering Mode matrix (5)
JPEG Quality (6)
Exposure Program manual (1)
Which this is how I do as well.

Oh, I dun understand the below:
Metering Mode matrix (5)

Anyone?

Wow! Great Pic! Nice color! Maybe it'll be perfect if you just sharpen a little.

Glutton excellent idea. Try flipping it vertically to achieve a surreal effect?
