Ha ha. I hope it is not the real one.

If the product offer the same, for my 2nd body definitely stick on D7000/7100.
Cause the only 1 shutter dial is made me more difficult to used.

This one look like they did a bad PS job, combine all sorts of cameras into one.

-The front dial was taken out but the space is left there, making the camera look like the designer was just some random kid from the street
-Mode dial is blur compared to the rest of the pic
-Mode dial on the left is removed but the mode dial lock (or is it the drive mode lock) is still there

i think Canon might have one coming up soon.

    rumour has it.

so, if they might have it, good chance Nikon do too?

Next time all the DX is just like macro 4/3.

And the FX Body is very affordable price for all.

Wah... I know I'm "jiak bah kah eng" (too much time on my hands after a hefty meal)... but somebody even more of that than me! Epic PS job! And that right grip looks frigg'n atrocious man! Sooooooooooooo much empty space and Nikon don't want to give us a front dial, how can?!

Please ah har? I know this is entry level... but doesn't mean must use "entry level" dial... Try to get more peeps to use Auto mode I suppose... =_= *haiz* or P mode... "Professional"

For the record, the image above is a doctored D800... What, no back image? Do until gave up already har?

Thanks cichlid. I never gave much though to this, but now I fully understand why they use green colour (why not yellow or red) for auto mode... "greenhorn"... >_<

And if the above image is really true... given that D800 is a much bigger body...man, that knob must be gigantic!! (proportionate to actual sizes)...

A lot of us with the D90/D300 are due for an upgrade.

    Still a long way.

    • Announcement before Photokina (September 2012)

    Isn't D7000 the direct upgrade from D90?

That is the public perception. The D7000 was never officially acknowledged to be the replacement of the D90 by Nikon.

But in terms of form and function, it is, right? Or perhaps it's not official so that they can "combine" the 2 lines (D90 n D300) for future upgrade pathway.

If selling 2k for FX entry level they will crashing with D400 in the DX king selling around $3k.

wah. nikon rumours has raised the d600 probability to 80%.

how much lower can d700 prices go?

you guys think the d600 will really go for under $2000 SGD?

and with a d600, d800, d4 line up, still got space for another FX that would be more similarly spec-ed to the 5Dmiii?

will there still be a d400? top end DX that will cost more than entry level FX?

I think d600 will be 2200 range... SG always more ex.
Means d700 maybe will drop below 1.8 already

To be honest, other than the megapixels, don't you find D600 is worse off than D700?

But in the D600 is more lightweight and built in HDR, HD video and 2 SD card.

The D700 all in basic only.

    39 vs 51 AF points,
    faster AF module
    SD vs CF

Secondly, we don't even know what D600 VF is like... like the bigger pentaprisms with circular VF of the 700/800/3s/4 or more like the DX type eg D7K. I'd assume 100% VF coverage - but I maybe wrong.

If you haven't look through the current Fx VF... man, you just haven't seen it all.. couple that with a DK19...Fwahhh! You could see the whole new world is inside!! (of course I'm exagerating , but there is very noticeable difference!).
