Default Buying the FZ20 in Singapore

First of all, let me say that you've got a very nice forum (well, Panasonic cameras deserve a great forum

I'm travelling to Singapore very soon (Jan 1st) and was thinking of buying an FZ-20 there. My next stop is New Zealand, and I would love to have a good camera with me there.

I would like to ask for your help and advice on the subject.
Where is a best place to get the camera? And what are the prices?
I would like also to get an additional battery (not original, of course), a UV and Linear polarizer filters, and some fast memory (512 at least).

This will be my first time in Singapore, really looking forward to it.
I'm very grateful for any help/advice, and would be happy to share a picture or two when I'll have some

My email is hy_bot @ hotmail.com

Thanks again
Alex

Hi, will like to welcome you beforehand!

Some of the popular shops are listed here with some of the short terms widely used in this forum. Hope it helps!

The current price of the FZ20 should be around $920-$960, inclusive of 5% tax, with a free 256MB SD card from cathay photo, alan photo or MS colour.

First off, welcome to Singapore! Be sure to take a look around here before heading for New Zealand.

I was quoted SGD$966 with extra batt, Hoya UV Filter and free 256MB SD card from MS Color located at Ang Mo Kio.

Cheers!

Thanks, people!

I got $868 without gst from Florence at MS Color, seems like a good deal (nice people too).
They don't have linear polarizer filters though, do you know where can I find one?

My flight lands on January 1st, early morning, and I guess the first thing I'll do is to get myself a nice FZ20 christmas present

Can you guys recommend any particular places to see in Singapore? My wife has already been there, but for me it's the first time.

If you are still in Singapore, and if this is your first trip, my recommendation will be as follow:

1. Goes for a Night Safari trip where you can see all different anima at night.
2. Go to Sentosa, look around in the small little island
3. Go to China Town, where you can move around and get some shopping done there.
4. Go to Marina Square area where you can have good shopping areas(Suntec, Malinia Walk, Marina Square), don't forget to go and take the photos of the Merlion, Fullerton Hotel, etc.

Hope you are still in Singapore, and enjoy yourself while you can.

And also, please contribute to the Singapore economy as much as you could. *joking*
