just bought a canon iP1500. the cheapest one that offers the 2pl droplets. In my eagerness to try the printer, i just used the supplied photo-printing software and loaded a 3rd party glossy paper and just printed my photo...
and woah! the print out blew me off! It's very close to photo prints. I can hardly see any 'dots' of ink! Colours were a little over saturated though.. dunno who's fault.. i din't adjust the pic. (straight out of a 20D)

Hi Yanyewkay,
Check your paper type settings... you're not using original paper, so you might have to experiment around with "photo paper plus" or "glossy photo paper" etc. to get the best results. I dunno abt the iP1500, but the iP5000 etc has the capability to fine-tune the colour at the printing stage via slider bars in the driver. |
