Thread: Naughty naugthy...

Prostitution is not illegal. That the girl is a prostitute who offers sex for money is not in dispute. Whether she did this willingly & freely or coerced & forced into it, for monetary gain or otherwise, is besides the point. The point is she is a minor & its illegal to have sex with minors, period. As to why, can go and debate & argue. The laws are enacted for clear & specific purposes. Men's defences are nothing new & always revolve round the argument that they did not know about the law or the age of the girl, they were lured into it & are as much the victim, the girl is morally corrupt selling her body purely for filthy lucre so she is the guilty one etc. Subhas Anandan is just paid to do a job so he says what he need to say. He's one of the top criminal lawyers around so there may be hope for his clients, but he sure struck gold

It IS ILLEGAL, as long as it is not conducted in a legally designated area i.e. Geylang's legal brothels.

Refer to this Prostitution in Singapore - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Read the papers. Check out the penal code.

    Ya,

STEP 1 - Check Identity Card
STEP 2 - Check Birth Certificate
    STEP 3 - Check Passport
STEP 4 - Snap a few photos (in case IC, BC and passport are fake), make sure not pornographic pictures, otherwise another charge

Since we are at Clubsnap, we should also discuss what type of lens is most suited for waiting outside the Subordinate Courts.

as a good friend mentioned in his fb post just today...

"How does the police actually prove that the 44 men indeed had sex with the prostitute? At most they can only prove they contacted the pimp and paid money, and entered the room right? Can they prove that they entered other things? Is there any possibility that some paid but didnt do because they had machine failure? Or that they ended up talking about the S-paper for Economics?"

Good points. I'm wondering when they will air it as a series in Channel 5.
But $400 for discussing economics is rather expensive, especially when you're not the student

    Mod mode off:

The law should be changed so that underaged prostitutes face the consequences too.

Otherwise underaged girls will get the wrong idea that its OK to do this because nothing happens to them and the clients are the ones getting punished.

    Mod mode back on

The 17-Year-Old Prostitute Who Might Bring Down The Italian Prime Minister Wants To Star In Woody Allen's Next Movie - Business Insider
The ex-Italian Prime Minister will defintely consider making this legal if he is still in office.

17 year old Poly student charges customers S$250 per hour for HOT SEX « THE TEMASEK TIMES
I think you have a good point there. Excerpt:
Though she is currently unemployed after dropping out of school last year, she is confident she can support herself with her ‘skills’ in prostitution:
“After two years in prostitution, I know what the men want and I have the skills to keep my regulars coming back for more because I am GOOD,” she boasted unashamedly.

Soon they will all be advertising their services in Economics S-Paper.

she sure knows good customer service and the laws governing Demand and Supply.

the next thing she can apply is the Law of Diminishing Returns

the older she gets, no pedophile will be attracted to her.

Haha not really. My school was trying to promote leadership etc and some values. I never subscribed to them cause its just very superficial and not realistic. He was a high flyer cause he was chairman of taman jurong yec, scholarship holder, ocs etc. Then impression was that sch wanted us to be like him I guess.
