    Default ISO & Shutter Speed? What are they?

    I heard that if I wanna take night shots I have to set them, is that true? I just bought an Ixus40... thank you guys

    If you want to take night shot, use ISO50 or ISO100, then choose aperture priority mode, and not forget the tri-pod will do.

    low iso speeds can reduce noise while high iso speeds allow you the capability to take night pics without making the tripod neccessary for every shot

    ISO refers to the sensitivity of the sensors to accept the light.

    Shutter refers to the speed whereby the light coming into the sensor is cut off.
