Default Do have the same encounter on Tamron 28-75

Hi,

Wonder if you have the same problem on the Tamron 28-75. I just bought the len on Fri. When I use it I notice that the shutter give a mechanical noise like metal sound when I take pics. Wonder for those using the same len have the same encounter? Is it normal?

Thanks in advance

Regards,
Clement

what camera are you using?

you're probably referring to the aperture noise. it's a bit noisier compared to Canon's electromagnetic aperature diaphragms. if you have a DOF preview button on your camera, you can press it to hear the aperture stopping down to the set aperture. is this the same noise you hear when you're taking a picture?

Yes. I using on 300D and it the noise when I use the DOF preview function. Feel really weird hearing the noise when taking pictures. Dunno any users encounter the same?Really hope it is normal if not gotten to bring it to camera shop to see can exchange.

Thanks
