Hey great shots! I like the 2nd one, colourful but too bad the colours seems a little dull somewhere in the middle.

Somehow the Dimage 5 always present out-of-the-box shots that's less colourful.. has always been like that, I wonder why also. Which is why I like my D7 wonderful colours!

Hmmm... didn't you know that Dimage 5 and 7 uses it's own colour space, you should run them through Dimage viewer, matching the images to sRGB to get the best results...

Spurssy, you opened the images in ACR, if your photoshop is set to have AdobeRGB as default working space the colour space of the images would already be converted to AdobeRGB. However, you saved these images and posted them without converting them to sRGB or even tagging them with a colour profile, that's why the colours look dull.

It's much like working with AdobeRGB colourspace on the 7D. Cheers! |

Well, When i use my A1, i would +2 for the colour, and it gives me the best colours i want which i am very satisfied with. sometimes i would +1 or 2 for the contrast as well depends on situation. Maybe you should try that out and see if it works for you.
I use IrfanView to preview my pics and Paintshop Pro to edit or frame up. I don't use the Dimage Viewer at all since its already Jpeg when I shoot. |

Thank you.. point noted!
I've gone back to try out my D5... and try to see what could have gone wrong. Meanwhile, appreciate the beautiful victorian countryside and give me some comments... can even ask me where some of those places are found... especially the wind farm... can't believe I didn't find them during my 1 year in Gippsland.
