And it's always followed by Rashkae telling them it's Macro unless it's something that Marco Polo discovered.. or something along that line..

Often Singaporean spoken English uses Chinese sentense structure.
    Example: 这是我的
But when we speak, it becomes, "This is my wan." Direct translation.
"This is my wan" is actually part of Singlish, not bad English.

Same as "short forms" such as "you eat already anot"

Recently several threads have been citing a new lens brand... TONIKA!

Anyhow to clarify, my reason for starting this is not to put down anybody, make fun of careless typos or people who genuinely have a poor grasp of the language. Take it as a light-hearted thread to share the humour generated through bad grammar and other errors!

All this are ok..what i cant stand is..those who type their post as if its a SMS or type like a 12 year old kid. Sometimes its really hard to understand their lingo...or rather their very own or very uncommon types and kinds of shortforms.

indeed, and actually beyond that, Singlish has moved past pidgins, arguably even beyond creoles, and may be called a post-creole variety... pidgins exist to bridge the language gap/s between groups (eg. in the Singapore context could be Bazaar Malay), whereas Singlish is part of the available varieties for all Singaporeans who can otherwise also use standard varieties of English... creoles are more stabilized varieties adopted by a group as their language (eg. could be Baba Malay)... whereas a post-creole variety, such as Singlish, exists as part of a continuum from a standard variety to the post-creole variety, where performance may vary along the stretch of the continuum rather be either one or the other...

Singlish is not bad English... it has it's own system of grammatical rules and pronunciation system, vocabulary, appropriateness rules, and has them repeatably and predictably so... it is different, not bad... or otherwise, we might just as well call English "bad French"...

I refer you to "English in new cultural contexts : reflections from Singapore", written by a host of experts, based mostly in Singapore, which describes various aspects of Singlish (or referred to in the book, as well as in some other academic contexts, as Colloquial Singapore English [CSE], although I prefer it the other way around, Singapore Colloquial English [SCE])...

English is not our language. It's the language of our White Masters.

    We speach Singlish all.
